Help Choose The Skinnytaste Cookbook Cover
After a full year of recipe testing, manuscript writing, editing, styling, and photo shoots—yes, there’s a lot that goes into making a cookbook—I’m thrilled to share three final cover designs for The Skinnytaste Cookbook. The design team and I narrowed the options down to three covers, and now I’d love your help choosing which one will appear on the book.

About the Covers
The design team at Clarkson Potter worked closely with photographer Penny De Los Santos to create covers that feel vibrant, fresh, and true to the recipes inside. Each cover features a different recipe image and concept, shot with care to reflect the tone and flavors readers can expect from the book.
The Three Cover Options
Here are the three recipes featured on the covers. When you decide, please tell me which one you prefer by leaving A, B, or C in the comments.
- A) Cheesy Baked Penne with Eggplant — A comforting, crowd-pleasing pasta bake with melty cheese and tender eggplant. The image captures a warm, homey vibe.
- B) Buttermilk Oven “Fried” Chicken — Crispy, golden, and perfectly seasoned, this version of oven-fried chicken offers the satisfaction of fried chicken with an easier approach.
- C) Kiss My (Shrimp and) Grits — A bold, Southern-inspired dish featuring plump shrimp and creamy grits—rich flavors in a simple, elegant presentation.
