7 Day High Protein Diet Meal Plan

Back-to-school routines mean early mornings, packed lunchboxes, and hurried dinners between activities. This 7-day high-protein meal plan is designed to make those busy days easier with simple, family-friendly recipes that are satisfying and protein-rich to fuel your day.

You’ll find make-ahead breakfasts like breakfast burritos, kid-approved lunch options such as chicken nuggets, and hearty dinners including a homemade hamburger helper variation with more than 30 grams of protein per serving. Meals are practical, easy to prep, and balanced to help prevent mid-day cravings.

Update About New WW Points Plan

Weight Watchers updated its 0-point foods (oatmeal is now included). Recipe updates are in progress and will roll out over time. Most recipes are already connected to the WW recipe builder, which will reflect the new points when accessed on a mobile device.

Why High Protein?

I follow a high-protein approach for muscle maintenance and satiety, and it’s made a big difference in my energy and cravings. Protein-rich meals help you feel fuller longer, reducing the urge to snack on sweets or chips. This plan was created to help you meet daily protein targets without complicated prep or exotic ingredients.

A practical way to reach protein goals is to spread intake across meals and snacks. For example, with a daily target of 120 grams of protein, aim for roughly 30 grams per main meal and add snacks that supply 10–30 grams each. If you’re unsure about how much protein you need, consult a nutrition resource or a registered dietitian for personalized guidance.

How It Works

These meal plans are guides, not strict rules. There’s plenty of flexibility to add beverages, coffee, fruit, snacks, or desserts, and to swap recipes to suit your preferences. Breakfasts and lunches Monday–Friday are planned for one serving, while dinners and weekend meals are scaled for a family of four. Some recipes yield leftovers that work well for another dinner or lunch the next day.

Aim for a reasonable daily calorie baseline depending on your goals—many women target around 1,500 calories, but needs vary by age, activity level, and metabolism. Consult a nutrition professional for individualized recommendations.

Note

If you have kidney or liver disease, gout, certain metabolic disorders, or reduced kidney function, you may need to limit protein. Always check with your healthcare provider or a registered dietitian before increasing protein intake, especially if you have underlying health concerns.
