As the year ends, many of us reflect on traditions and foods thought to bring luck—lentils, black-eyed peas, pork, greens and grapes are a few examples. Whatever you choose to eat for the New Year, I wish you a healthy, happy year ahead.

With grocery prices rising, meal planning is one of the best ways to save money, reduce waste and stay on track with healthy eating. This free 7-day plan is flexible, budget-conscious, and includes breakfast, lunch and dinner recipes along with a comprehensive grocery list. A note about WW Personal Points

I no longer publish points because they vary across Weight Watchers plans, but every recipe includes a link to the WW PersonalPoints recipe builder. Look for the orange button in each recipe card to view the WW points and add the recipe to your day (U.S. only; you must be logged in to your WW account). All cookbook recipes in the cookbook index have been updated as well.

About This Meal Plan

This free, 7-day flexible healthy meal plan is intended as a guide with plenty of wiggle room. You can add snacks, beverages, coffee, fruit, dessert or wine, and you can swap recipes to suit your preferences. Breakfasts and lunches Monday through Friday are scaled for one person, while dinners and weekend meals are scaled for a family of four. Some recipes produce leftovers suitable for an extra dinner or lunch the next day. Depending on your goals, aim for at least 1500 calories per day; individual needs will vary by age, weight and activity level.

The included grocery list is organized and designed to make shopping easier and less stressful. Planning ahead helps you spend less, waste less food, and have what you need on hand to stay on track.

If you use Facebook, you can join the Skinnytaste Community to share photos and ideas. To receive meal plans by email, subscribe to the Skinnytaste mailing list.
