Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Celebrate with a touch of Irish tradition and some delicious food. As the Irish blessing goes, “May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be always at your back.” Whether you prefer a classic holiday dinner or something more unexpected—like Sweet Potato Irish Nachos—or a festive dessert such as Chocolate Stout Cupcakes with Bailey’s Irish Cream Cheese Frosting, there are plenty of options to enjoy.
I recently launched a free Skinnytaste community where home cooks can connect, share recipes, get sneak peeks, take part in challenges and swap tips. It’s a friendly space to share successes and ask questions—everyone’s welcome.
A Word About the New WW Points Plan
Weight Watchers has recently updated its points system and added new zero-point foods (hooray for oatmeal!). I’m in the process of updating all recipe points across the site. In the meantime, every recipe links to the WW recipe builder (mobile only), which will show updated points automatically. If you notice updated points while browsing a recipe, please leave a comment there to help me prioritize updates.
If you’re new to these meal plans, I post a free, flexible 7-day healthy meal plan each week intended as a guide with plenty of wiggle room. You can easily swap recipes, add snacks, coffee, beverages, fruit, dessert or wine to suit your needs. Search the recipe index by course to find alternatives. Aim for at least 1,500 calories per day as a baseline—your personal needs will vary based on your goals, age and activity level.
The plan includes a detailed grocery list designed to streamline shopping, reduce waste and save money. Having a clear list on hand helps you stay organized and keeps you from dining out as often.
