7 Day High Protein Diet Meal Plan
Summer grilling, gatherings, and long, sunny days call for meals that are both satisfying and high in protein. This week’s plan focuses on lean proteins, balanced sides, and recipes that are easy to scale for one or a crowd. Favorites like Grilled Chimichurri Steak and Filipino BBQ Pork Skewers deliver more than 23 grams of protein per serving, and pair beautifully with light sides such as Cucumber Tomato Salad or Macaroni Salad with Tomatoes. For a festive finish try the Red, White, and Blueberry Trifle.
Update About New WW Points Plan
WW recently added new zero-point foods (including oatmeal). I’m updating recipes to reflect these changes—progress is ongoing. In the meantime, every recipe on the site is linked to the WW recipe builder on mobile, so you’ll be able to see updated points automatically when you use it.
Why Choose a High-Protein Diet?
I’ve followed a high-protein approach for a few years to support muscle gain and overall satiety, and it has made a noticeable difference. Eating enough protein helps reduce cravings, supports recovery after workouts, and keeps energy levels more stable throughout the day. This meal plan is designed to help you meet daily protein goals without feeling deprived. If you like this plan, I’ll share one or two new weekly menus each month while I continue work on a high-protein cookbook.
A practical way to meet protein targets is to spread intake across meals and snacks. For example, if you aim for 120 grams of protein per day, try for roughly 30 grams at each main meal and 10–30 grams across snacks. If you need guidance on how much protein is right for you, consult a trusted nutrition resource or a healthcare professional for personalized advice.
How the Meal Plan Works
These meal plans are flexible guides. They allow plenty of room to add drinks, fruit, snacks, or desserts and to swap recipes for options you prefer. Breakfasts and lunches Monday through Friday are portioned for one person; dinners and weekend meals are sized for a family of four. Some recipes yield leftovers that work well for additional meals. Aim for at least 1,500 calories per day as a general baseline, and adjust up or down based on your goals, age, and activity level. Always consult your nutritionist or physician for individualized recommendations.
Important Note
If you have kidney or liver disease, gout, metabolic conditions, or reduced kidney function, talk with your healthcare provider before increasing protein intake. Older adults may also need tailored guidance. Professional advice ensures any dietary changes are safe and appropriate for your health.
