7 Day High-Protein, High-Fiber Diet Meal Plan

Start the year with a practical, high-protein, high-fiber meal plan designed to provide at least 120 grams of protein and roughly 25 grams of fiber per day. This plan includes breakfasts, lunches, dinners and a thorough grocery list to make meal prep simple. The meals aim to keep you satisfied, support muscle maintenance and help steady energy throughout the day.

Why High Protein?

I’ve followed a high-protein approach for several years to support muscle gain and maintain steady appetite control. Eating adequate protein helps reduce cravings for sweets and mindless snacking, and makes it easier to meet fitness and body-composition goals. This seven-day plan is intended as a clear example of how to distribute protein across meals and snacks—aim for roughly 30 grams at each main meal and supplement with protein-rich snacks if needed.

How to Make Goals Stick

Setting goals is easy; sticking to them is the challenge. One effective method is the SMART framework, which turns vague intentions into actionable steps:

  1. Specific — Define exactly what you want to achieve (for example, “exercise three times per week”).
  2. Measurable — Choose something you can track, such as “read one book per month” or “eat 120 g of protein daily.”
  3. Achievable — Make sure the goal is realistic for your situation to avoid discouragement.
  4. Relevant — Choose goals that align with your values and long-term priorities.
  5. Time-bound — Set a deadline to create urgency and focus.

SMART goals provide clarity and a practical roadmap, improving the odds you’ll follow through and adapt if your plan needs to change.

Update About New WW Points Plan

Weight Watchers (WW) recently updated their zero-point food list, which now includes items like oatmeal. Recipe point values will be updated over time; many recipe entries are already revised from 2018 through 2025. If you use the WW recipe builder on your phone, it should reflect the updated points automatically.

How This Meal Plan Works

This plan is a guide, not a strict prescription. There’s room to adjust portion sizes, swap recipes, and add beverages, fruit, snacks or dessert. Breakfasts and lunches Monday through Friday are sized for one person; dinners and weekend meals are sized for a family of four, with many recipes yielding leftovers. Aim for a baseline of about 1,500 calories per day depending on your personal needs, activity level and goals. For precise individual recommendations, consult a registered dietitian or healthcare provider.

Important Note

If you have kidney or liver disease, gout, specific metabolic conditions, or reduced kidney function, you may need to limit protein intake. Always talk with your healthcare provider before making significant changes to your diet, especially if you have underlying health concerns.

If you enjoy interacting with others, consider joining a recipe-focused online community to share photos, tips and variations. Subscribing to a meal plan mailing list can also help you get regular updates and new weekly plans.
