7 Day High Protein Diet Meal Plan

When summer arrives, most of us want quick, light meals that don’t heat up the kitchen or create a sink full of dishes. Staying active in warm weather means fueling your body with satisfying, protein-rich foods that keep energy steady. This plan focuses on fresh, easy-to-prep meals from Protein Chia Seed Cereal topped with seasonal berries to portable Chicken Salad wraps for the beach. The goal is simple: nutritious, low-fuss meals that help you meet your protein targets while enjoying the season.

Update About New WW Points Plan

Good news for Weight Watchers members: WW added new zero-point foods (including oatmeal). I’m working through recipe updates — most are current from 2018 through 2025 — and every recipe on the site links to the WW recipe builder on mobile to automatically reflect the new points.

Why High Protein?

I’ve followed a high-protein approach for several years to support muscle gain and improved satiety, and it’s made a noticeable difference for me. Protein helps keep you full longer, reduces cravings for sweets or chips between meals, and supports recovery after workouts. Many people find it challenging to reach daily protein targets, so this meal plan is designed to make it easier by distributing protein across meals and snacks.

A practical way to meet a higher protein goal is to spread protein fairly evenly across the day. For example, if your goal is about 120 grams per day, aim for roughly 30 grams at each main meal and 10–30 grams from snacks. If you’re uncertain about your ideal protein intake, consult a healthcare professional or registered dietitian for personalized guidance.

How It Works

These meal plans are intended as guides with room to adjust portions and swap recipes based on your preferences. Breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday are planned as single servings; dinners and weekend meals are sized for a family of four, with some recipes yielding leftovers for extra meals. Depending on your goals and needs, aim for at least 1,500 calories per day as a general baseline for women, but individual needs vary by age, activity level, and body composition. Always consult a nutrition professional for tailored recommendations.

Note

If you have kidney or liver disease, gout, certain metabolic disorders, or reduced kidney function, you may need to limit protein. Check with your healthcare provider or a registered dietitian before significantly increasing protein intake, especially if you have underlying health issues.
