Sofa Deep Cleaning – My Tried And Tested Method!

hey everyone!

i recently tackled a sofa deep cleaning session, and i wanted to share what worked best for me. over time, sofas collect dust, stains, and even hidden odors, so a good deep clean can make a huge difference!

here’s my step-by-step process:

1. vacuum thoroughly

start by removing cushions and vacuuming every nook and cranny, including under the cushions and along the seams.
if you have pets, a lint roller or rubber glove can help pick up stubborn pet hair.

2. spot clean stains

mix warm water, a few drops of dish soap, and white vinegar in a spray bottle.
lightly spray over stains and blot with a clean microfiber cloth. avoid rubbing to prevent spreading the stain!
for tougher stains, baking soda + hydrogen peroxide can work wonders (test on a small area first!).

3. deodorize with baking soda

sprinkle baking soda all over the sofa and let it sit for about 15–20 minutes to absorb odors.
vacuum it up using the brush attachment for a refreshed feel.

4. steam cleaning (if needed)

if your sofa is extra dirty or has deep-seated grime, a steam cleaner can lift dirt effectively.
make sure the fabric type is steam-safe before using it.

5. let it dry completely ️

open windows or use a fan to speed up drying.
avoid sitting on the sofa until it’s fully dry to prevent moisture buildup.

this method left my sofa looking and smelling fresh! have you tried any other sofa deep cleaning techniques? share your tips below!

looking forward to your suggestions!
